This Blackwing is powered by a Thompson Motorsports of TEXAS 6.8L 417ci that’s topped with a Magnuson TVS2650R supercharger, and mated to a 10L90 10-speed automatic transmission. Diving deeper into the engine build. the bottom end features a Callies Compstar crankshaft along with Manley rods, and DSS Racing pistons. The top end consists of a custom Thompson Motorsports camshaft, ported Frankenstein heads with ARP head studs, and a set of Johnson lifters. The supercharger system currently utilizes a Griptec 2.65” upper/DSX Tuning 9.84” lower pulley combo, followed by a Nick Williams 112mm throttle body, and Cordes 4.5” cold air intake. In terms of fuel, this setup makes use of TooHighPsi port injection, 1000cc fuel injectors, ReFlex harness, and a DSX low side running on E85 or 91 octane. Additional upgrades include a pair of American Racing 2” headers, LMP Blackwing heat exchanger/front tank, AEM wideband sensor/boost gauge, and a drag pack, which consists of Forgestar F14 skinnies and custom VTForged beadlocks wrapped in Mickey Thompsons out back. Modifications were installed by Full Throttle Performance (Fresno, CA), and tuning was handled by DDTech with an output of 1123whp/1030wtq. As for performance metrics, the car went 60-130 in 4.3-seconds with this setup.
