This incredibly clean FL5 Type R was dropped off with Greg at BuyYourBuild to receive several quality upgrades, most of the work performed was well documented by Greg with photo and thorough videos (BuyYourBuild YouTube channel) showcasing the install process for specific modifications. Power is derived from a 2.0L K20C1 engine that’s coupled with a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) Stage 2 turbo, this combination is linked to a 6-speed manual transmission. Essentially, this is a full bolt on setup, armed with nearly everything you can imagine without going internally. All brought together with tuning from Jester Tuned, the car hasn’t seen a dyno, however it drives phenomenally with improved handling/braking/power delivery as a result of the modifications. Additional performance upgrades include a handful of PRL components (inlet pipe/intake/IC piping/charge pipes), RV6 FMIC, Boomba BPV, Hondata 1530 injectors, Full-Race HPFP, TSP catted downpipe, and a Remark titanium exhaust. In terms of aesthetics, the car was outfitted with a handful of carbon fiber components, along with Suntek Paint Protection Film (PPF), Alpha Rex headlights, and a nicely spec’d set of Volk Racing TE37SL wheels wrapped in Advan tires.
