Description
1450+whp 2018 Ford Mustang GT in Shadow Black with 33,000 (Chassis) miles for sale! The owner purchased this S550 back in 2022 with a twin turbo setup already installed, utilizing the factory Gen 3 5.0L Coyote and stock 10R80 10-speed automatic at the time. Since then, the car has been completely revamped from the ground up with a serious list of quality components.
At the heart of the build is a 2,000hp rated TKM sleeved Coyote, built on a Gen 1 block with Darton sleeves, a BOSS forged crankshaft, Molnar Power Adder connecting rods, coated JE Ultra Series pistons with HD pins, stainless rings gapped for 30+ lbs of boost, and Clevite H-Series main and rod bearings. The top end features new camshafts, cleaned and machined Gen 3 heads, PAC valve springs, an o-ringed deck for MLS head gaskets, and a Junkie ported BOSS 302 intake manifold. ARP hardware was used throughout, along with brand new timing components, valve covers, and timing covers. Boost comes from a Hellion twin turbo kit running a pair of 6466 turbochargers, with boost levels managed by a Boostleash boost controller. The twin turbo kit was designed to retain full use of the factory air conditioning, and the heater remains functional as well. The fuel system consists of triple 285 Hellcat pumps, Injector Dynamics 1700cc fuel injectors, and stock DI injectors. This setup retains A/C and heat.
The factory 10R80 was replaced with a Proformance Racing Transmissions built TH400 rated to 2,000hp, installed as part of the JPC Racing Stage 3 TH400 swap kit with all necessary supporting components. A Circle D bolt-on converter and G-Force 2,000hp axle-shafts round out the drivetrain.
Traction was tackled with a full BMR suspension setup, BMR cradle, KellTrac front long travel struts, and KellTrac rear Viking shocks. TBM brakes were installed up front along with rear Baer brakes/15" conversion, and a complete set of 17” Belak Industries Series 4 wheels (ceramic coated) with beadlocks out back and new tires all around.
Inside, the car features an 8.50 Fathouse cage with swing-outs, a pair of carbon fiber seats, and a rear seat delete. On the exterior, Anderson Composites carbon fiber doors were installed to shed weight, along with a parachute, drag wing, and a 3-year ceramic coating for protection.
The build was completed by the owner along with a few local performance shops in Michigan, including ByePolr Performance and OCD Fabrication & Performance. The car hasn't been on the dyno with the current setup. When the owner first purchased the car in 2022, it laid down 1250whp on the old 6266 turbo setup. In its current configuration with the tuning from Lund Racing, larger 6466s and a fully built motor, the owner estimates output should exceed 1450whp. The car has seen track time, and as it currently runs as a grudge car, track times will be discussed with serious buyers only. It runs flawlessly, and can be driven on the highway at 2500rpm going 65mph no problem. The owner is parting ways with the build to invest more in his business. An oil change and full inspection were completed last month to ensure the car is ready for its next owner.
