Description
2016 Ford Mustang GT/California Special in Magnetic with 33,000 miles for sale! The owner picked up this S550 in 2024 with very few modifications and has since transformed it into a solid twin turbo street car with significantly more power.
The foundation is a Gen 2 5.0L Coyote that was upgraded with PAC 1234X valve springs, ARP head studs, GT500 head gaskets, Boundary oil pump gears and crank sprocket, and a 2018+ intake manifold. Boost comes from a Hellion Street Sleeper kit running a pair of Precision PTE 62/66 turbochargers with Turbosmart wastegates and blow-off valves. The fuel system was upgraded to a Fore Innovations Level 4 triple pump return-style setup paired with a set of recently serviced Injector Dynamics 1300 fuel injectors.
The drivetrain features a Power by the Hour fully built 6R80 6-speed automatic transmission (refreshed less than 10K miles ago), fortified with billet components, including a PBH billet intermediate shaft, PBH billet planetary, billet one-way low/reverse clutch, and Raybestos clutches and steels. The transmission is paired with a billet Circle D 2B torque converter with a 3200-3400rpm stall speed (refreshed with trans), all trailed by a Dynotech 1-piece aluminum driveshaft with a safety loop, and 2000hp rated G-Force Renegade half shafts.
Currently sitting on a WELD Racing drag pack consisting of Alumastar front runners wrapped in Mickey Thompsons and forged S71 beadlock wheels wrapped in 315 Mickey Thompson ET Street R drag radials out back. As for suspension, the car features the full BMR rear suspension catalog with differential and cradle lockouts, Viking rear shocks, and a BMR front tubular K-member.
Additional upgrades include a Cortex electronic boost controller (boost by speed and boost by gear), MSD 2-step, 6R Stager, transbrake and bump buttons, and more.
Modifications were installed by the owner with receipts for components purchased, and tuning was handled remotely by Lund Racing with both a normal tune and a cammed idle tune. The car hasn't been on a dyno with this setup, but it's been running consistent 3.9-4.0 second 60-130mph pulls.
The built transmission and torque converter were serviced within the last 10,000 miles, the injectors were cleaned within the last 3 months, and the oil was changed just 100 miles ago. The stock GT/CS wheels and tires will be included with the sale along with an exhaust system for those who prefer a full exhaust over the current dump setup. Please note the Tillett driver seat will not be included.
