Description
530hp 2008 Saleen S281SC finished in Dark Candy Apple Red with 68,000 miles now up for auction! Built in limited numbers and individually serialized by Saleen, these Mustangs received an extensive transformation from front to rear, resulting in potent performance and styling cues that continue to turn heads today. This particular example is serial number #26 and is further enhanced by Brenspeed's Stage 3 "Corvette Killer" Saleen Upgrade Package, which increases output to an estimated 530 horsepower at the crank on 93-octane fuel.
Power comes from a 4.6L 3V SOHC V8 equipped with a Saleen Series VI integrated screw-type supercharger. Currently configured with a 3.5-inch supercharger pulley, the setup produces approximately 9.5 psi of boost. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec TR-3650 5-speed manual transmission paired with a recently replaced McLeod clutch.
Fueling upgrades include a Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump, 47 lb/hr fuel injectors, and an upgraded vacuum line kit designed to improve fuel system efficiency. The current exhaust configuration consists of a BBK high-flow catted X-pipe and Borla ATAK mufflers, producing an aggressive exhaust note that pairs perfectly with the supercharger whine under wide-open throttle.
Additional upgrades include a JLT cold air intake, one-step-colder spark plugs, and Euro-style taillights. All modifications were installed by the previous owner and are supported by a custom Brenspeed tune loaded through an SCT X4 programmer.
The car is reported to be mechanically sound, with the current owner accumulating approximately 15,000 miles without issue. Routine maintenance was completed within the last month, including an oil change and fresh transmission fluid. A selection of factory components will also accompany the sale, including the original supercharger pulley, springs, and taillights.
