Description
755whp 2008 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 in Victory Red with 47,014 (chassis) miles for sale! This C6 Z06 is a high-caliber naturally aspirated street machine built around a monstrous 447.5ci engine featuring an aggressive 14.24:1 compression ratio. The engine was professionally spec'd and assembled by Horsepower Research, utilizing large displacement, high compression, and a carefully selected top-end package to deliver impressive power.
At the heart of the build is an RHS 6-bolt block paired with Wiseco pistons, a Callies Compstar crankshaft and connecting rods. Up top, the engine features Brodix BR7 cylinder heads, a .77X/.77X camshaft, and a ported Holley Hi-Ram lower intake manifold topped with a ported Visner Engine Development (VED) lid and 112mm adapter.
Fuel delivery is handled by a Fore Innovations return-style fuel system and Injector Dynamics ID1050 injectors to ensure the combination has all the fuel it needs. The soundtrack is every bit as impressive as the performance, thanks to American Racing Headers (ARH) 2-1/8-inch headers, an X-pipe, and a Hooker axle-back exhaust system.
The drivetrain has been upgraded to match the engine's output, featuring an RPM-built TR-6060 6-speed manual transmission, a McLeod clutch, brand-new Tick Performance slave cylinder, master cylinder, and throwout bearing, along with fresh torque tube bearings and a 300M shaft. Additional upgrades include a GZ Motorsports vacuum pump, Viking coilovers on all four corners, solid mounts throughout, Forgestar F14 drag pack, 15" rear brake conversion, AFX two-piece rotors, and more.
To extract every bit of performance from the build, power steering and A/C have been deleted, a common trade-off on naturally aspirated cars pushed to this level. The interior otherwise remains fully intact, with Kirkey aluminum racing seats in place of the factory seats.
The car was professionally tuned by Josh Tonski of Horsepower Solutions (Newport News, VA), it yielded 755whp on a hub dyno with regular pump E85 and mild timing. Although the car has yet to make any passes at the drag strip in its current configuration, it recorded a 60-130mph time of 5.4 seconds on pump E85 with a passenger onboard.
Generating this level of naturally aspirated power is no easy feat, and certainly not inexpensive. The current owner purchased the car already built and received extensive documentation for the work performed. Approximately 500 miles ago, the engine was completely gone through and refreshed, leaving the next owner with an exceptionally well-sorted and purpose built max effort NA car that's extremely reliable and capable of shifting well over 8,000 RPM.
