Video Guide

Videos are just as important as photos, they bring the build to life in a way that photos simply can't. A buyer watching your car launch off the line or hearing the exhaust note on a pull is going to be far more emotionally invested than one who only saw static images. This is why a walk-around video is required for every listing, and why we strongly encourage you to include as much additional video content as possible.

Required

  • Start-up/Walk-around video - a slow, steady walk around the entire vehicle covering every angle

Recommended

  • Driving footage - street or highway pulls, anything that showcases how the car performs
  • Dragy runs - 1/8-mile, 1/4-mile, 60-130, or any other recorded runs you have
  • Racing footage - street or track, if you have it, use it
  • Dyno Video - Verified power numbers backed by real dyno pulls
  • Professional video - if you've had a videographer shoot the car, this is gold

Below are a few examples from previous listings to give you an idea of what's possible:

Examples

Start-up/Walk-around video

This video is the core of your media and is required for every listing. Begin with a cold start or warm start of the vehicle so potential buyers can hear exactly what it sounds like at idle, exhaust note, and any other audible characteristics that make your build unique. From there, perform a slow and complete walk-around of the entire vehicle covering every angle.

Video has a way of revealing details that photos sometimes miss, a subtle body line, a reflection, the way light hits the paint, or a modification that didn't fully come through in a still image. Buyers who watch your walk-around video come away with a much stronger sense of the vehicle and significantly more confidence in making an offer.

Think of this video as your listing's first impression, make it count!

Driving Footage

The cars we feature are built to be driven, and buyers know it. Don't be shy about showing what your build can actually do.

A street pull, a highway run, a hard launch off a light, this is exactly the kind of content that stops the scroll and gets serious buyers excited. Driving footage gives buyers something that no photo or walk-around video can, a real world demonstration of how the car performs when you actually put your foot down.

If you have it, use it. A clean hit on the highway or a pull from a dig tells a buyer more about your build in 15 seconds than a paragraph of text ever could. This is the content that makes listings go viral on our social channels and attracts the most attention from the right buyers.

Day or night, if it showcases the car performing the way it was built to perform, include it.

Dragy Runs

If your build has been put to the test, the numbers don't lie, and serious buyers want to see them. A Dragy is one of the most widely respected tools in the modified car community for documenting real world performance, and including your runs adds a layer of credibility to your listing that no modification list alone can match.

Include any and all recorded runs you have available:

  • 60-130 mph
  • 1/8-mile
  • 1/4-mile
  • 0-60
  • Any other intervals you have on record

Screen recordings of the Dragy app showing the run data alongside the actual footage are ideal, buyers want to see both the numbers and the pull itself. If you have multiple runs, include your best ones as well as a few consistent runs to show the car is repeatable and not just a one hit wonder.

If you don't have Dragy runs yet, we strongly recommend getting some before your listing goes live. On the Street Car Market, documented performance times are one of the most effective tools for justifying your asking price and attracting buyers who are ready to commit.

Racing Video

If your build has seen the track or the street, show it. Racing footage is some of the most compelling content a listing can have, it tells the story of the car in a way nothing else can and immediately communicates to a buyer exactly what they're getting into.

Track footage - whether it's a full pass down the 1/4-mile, a time slip, a burnout in the water box, or just the car sitting in the staging lanes ready to go, all of it adds character and credibility to your listing. Buyers who are serious about performance want to see that the car has actually been used for what it was built for.

Street footage - we're not here to judge, we're here to sell cars. If you have street racing footage that showcases the performance of your build, include it. This is Street Car Market — our audience understands the culture and appreciates authenticity. Raw, real footage of a car doing what it was built to do resonates deeply with the right buyer.

The more your listing tells a story, the more emotionally invested a potential buyer becomes. Racing footage is one of the most powerful ways to do exactly that.

Dyno Video

The dyno is where the build meets the numbers. If your vehicle has been strapped down and put to the test, that footage is worth including in your listing. There is something uniquely satisfying to a serious buyer about watching a built car scream through a pull on the rollers, the sound, the power, and the numbers climbing on the screen tell a story that no modification list can fully capture.

Include the full pull if you have it, and if you have the dyno sheet to go along with it, even better. A verified horsepower and torque figure backed by actual footage removes doubt and gives buyers the confidence to act. In the modified car world, claimed power numbers are everywhere, documented ones are far more valuable.

Professional Video

Many of our sellers have invested in having professional videographers create custom videos for their builds, and the results speak for themselves. A well produced video significantly increases visibility, engagement, and buyer interest. If you have the opportunity to get one made, it is absolutely worth it.
